The Division of Entomology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, successfully conducted a three-day ANRF-sponsored workshop titled “Taxonomy and Molecular Identification of Agriculturally Important Insects” from 9–11 March 2026 at ICAR-NIPB, Pusa Campus. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Rabindra Nath Padaria, who emphasized the importance of accurate insect identification. Dr. V.V. Ramamurthy highlighted the need to strengthen taxonomic expertise, while Dr. M.K. Dhillon reiterated the Division’s commitment to integrating modern tools. Dr. Shashank P.R. outlined the objectives. The programme included lectures, hands-on training, and demonstrations, and was attended by 32 participants from across India.

The School of Plant Protection at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi, successfully organized a one-day IARI Industry Meet on 29-10-2025 at the Prof. M.S. Swaminathan Library on the theme “Innovations and Partnerships for Sustainable Plant Protection.” The event brought together leading experts from IARI and several Agro-industries to explore collaboration opportunities in plant protection research, education, extension, and technology development.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Chairperson, ASRB, New Delhi, Co-Chaired by Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, and Prof. Anupam Verma, INSA Senior Scientist, graced the event as Guest of Honor. The meeting was attended by 40 representatives from 29 agro-industries and the scientists from IARI, New Delhi.
