LAB FACILITIES
Experiential Learning Unit (ELU) on “Multimedia and Advanced Graphics”
Division has established Experiential Learning Unit (ELU) on “Multimedia and Advanced Graphics” to develop skills among faculty and students with respect to techniques including sound recording, graphics, television, photography, videotaping, lighting, editing methods and handling multimedia equipment’s. Trained students can find employment as multimedia producer/designers for different government and corporate organisations for digital productions of videos, modules, posters, pamphlets, folders, animation, web content etc. ELU is well equipped with all equipment’s for audio and video editing. It includes Digital Video camera, Computer, accessories, Voice recorder, Printer, PICO Projectors, Tripods, collar mics and advanced software’s for preparing multimedia modules like Adobe Premier Pro CC, Adobe Flash, Photoshop, coral draw. This lab has special utility for recording, editing video based multi-media modules under different ongoing projects.

Virtual Classroom
The Virtual Classroom at 18 locations with a centralized deployment at Krishi Megh was established as a part of National Agriculture Higher Education Project (NAHEP) Component 2 to strengthen agricultural education through ICT interventions. The virtual classroom is equipped with video conferencing tool where instructors and participants can engage with each other and with the learning material effectively. This virtual classroom offers the trainer/teacher to reach beyond the in-class experience. Instructors can access the classroom prior to the lesson to prepare the material. This material, as well as the session recording, is available after class, for reference for instructors and participants alike. Participants can connect to virtual classroom platforms from any device that can connect to the Internet.

Training Hall
Division has 60 seat capacity training hall Equipped with latest ICT enabled tools and video conferencing facility. It is mainly used for conducting training programmes and meetings.

NextGen Agricultural Extension Learning and Analytics Hub (NAEL Hub)
With the dynamic evolution of information and communication technologies (ICT), the demand for responsive, efficient, and immersive extension services has increased significantly. Recognizing this, Division has established NextGen Agricultural Extension Learning and Analytics Hub (NAEL Hub) to revolutionize the traditional model of agricultural knowledge dissemination. The project was conceptualized to integrate cutting-edge digital tools such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and smart advisory platforms to support sustainable farming practices and resilient agricultural systems.

UG classroom
Division has 35 seated capacity ICT led UG classroom with ergonomically designed study chairs, specially built for B.Sc. Community Science teachers and students.

Divisional Library
Divisional Library has diverse collection of books in frontier areas of Agricultural extension besides important journals, books, thesis of M.Sc and Ph.D students of the division. magazines etc.

PG Data Analysis Lab
The data analysis laboratory of the division comprises a virtual structure for facilitating students and faculty in analysing their research data both qualitatively and quantitatively. The purpose of the laboratory is to develop professional data processing skills among the practitioners in statistical language programming through R and Stata, using computer based statistical packages through SPSS, AMOS, and NetDraw, and GIS mapping through QGIS software.

Fabric & Apparel construction laboratory (UG): The Fabric & Apparel Construction Laboratory (UG) has been established for B.Sc. Community Science students in the Division of Agricultural Extension at Indian Agricultural Research Institute. The laboratory is equipped with essential facilities such as a flat knitting machine and an embroidery machine, providing students with hands-on training in fabric development and apparel construction. It aims to enhance practical skills, creativity, and technical knowledge in textile and garment-related activities, thereby supporting holistic learning and skill development.

Textile laboratory ( UG)
The Textile Laboratory (UG) has been established for B.Sc. Community Science students in the Division of Agricultural Extension at Indian Agricultural Research Institute. The laboratory is equipped with essential facilities, including motor-driven sewing machines (2 units) and small-sized motor-driven sewing machines (3 units), enabling students to gain practical experience in stitching and garment construction. It aims to strengthen technical skills, improve efficiency in textile-related tasks, and foster creativity and precision in apparel-making among students.
