1. Seed Village Scheme

  • Seed Village Scheme sponsored by DAC, Ministry of Agriculture, GOI was continued for horizontal spread of seeds of popular varieties of different crops.
  • Several trainings on various aspects of quality seed production were organized under this scheme during Kharif 2013 attended by 80 farmers including 13 farm women and during Rabi 2013-14 attended by 164 farmers including 37 farm women.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Farmers trainings organized at IARI, RS, Karnal

  • Organized training on "Beej utpadan, prasanskaran aur surakshit bhandaran" from 31st May to 1st June 2013 attended by 35 field staff personnel from IFFDC.
  • A farmers training on ‘Sankar dhaan (PRH 10) beej utpadan prodyogiki’ was organised at this station on 21 September 2014 attended by 20 farmers.
  • A Farmers’ training on "Gunvata beej utpadan kee unat krishi prodyogiki" was organised at this station on 19th to 21st March, 2014 attended by 20 farmers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Organisation of 'Beej Diwas'

  • 'Basmati Diwas' (Scientists-Exporters-Farmers-Interface Meeting) was organised on 26th September, 2013 at the station, in which 65 delegates from different districts of Haryana, Delhi, Punjab and western UP participated.
  • ‘Basmati Beej Diwas’ was celebrated on 6th March, 2014. Paddy seed of Pusa 44, PB 1121 and PB 1509 worth Rs. 28,73,975/- were sold to thousands of farmers from Haryana, Punjab and UP.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Off campus Exhibitions/Melas
Participated in Krishi Mela-cum-Exhibitions at DWR, NDRI and CSSRI to display the technologies, products and publications of the station. Stalls were visited by hundreds of farmers including groups of women farmers. Vegetable seed packets were also sold to farmers.

 

 

5. Visitors / Trainees attended

Scientists of National and International fame, delegations, officials of State Department of Agriculture of different countries, states, trainees and teams of farmers etc. visited our station were shown and explained seed production related activities.
